Psihološku analizu i superviziju obavlja psiholog Tatjana Stojanović, specijalista medicinske psihologije.

Svoje iskustvo pretočila je u niz stručnih radova i time približila ovu metodu javnosti.

-----ENGLISH-----

The agreement to cooperate in a professional capacity between the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade and the Art Brut Serbia association from Belgrade, as part of the one-year project "Art Brut Studio VMA," was signed on February 26, 2015.

The preceding period, from October 2013 until the signing of the agreement itself, was filled with meticulous and thorough discussions, consultations, and correspondence with Tatjana Stojanović, a psychologist at the Day Hospital of the Psychiatry Clinic of the VMA (as well as with the leaders of psychiatric departments), about finding the best possible conditions for a creative studio within the hospital's existing rules and programs. The agreement outlines that the Art Brut Serbia association, in addition creative workshops, will work to establish a permanent art and video library; to implement post-hospitalization artistic treatment for patients; to include interested and talented patients in social and cultural-artistic activities; as well as the presentation and evaluation of their creativity. In short, the project was conceived as the first stage of the establishment of a permanent creative studio at the Day Hospital of the VMA Psychiatry Clinic, laying the foundation for the permanent development of patient artistic creativity, as well as to improve the practice and experience of the staff involved.

Psychologist Tatjana Stojanović, a specialist in medical psychology with great expertise, is responsible for psychological analysis and supervision. She has been employed in the Day Hospital of the Psychiatry Clinic of the Academy of Medical Sciences since 1993, where she performs tasks in the field of individual and group psychotherapy and counseling, psychological selection, psycho-diagnostics, art therapy, and group analysis of drawings. The studio was created by the academically trained painter Goran Stojčetović, who also runs the program and president and founder of the Art Brut Serbia Association. He deals with in-depth associative art, inspired by his many years of experience in working with people who are, in any way, outside the social system.

The studio started working on March 3, 2015, and includes two days wort of activities on a weekly basis:

- Working with patients of the Treated Psychosis Group

- Working with patients of the Day Hospital

Art therapy was introduced to the Day Hospital in 1989 by the psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Gordana Mandić Gajić. She transcribed her experience into a series of professional works and thereby brought this method closer to the public. The long-term application of art therapy in the Day Hospital facilitated the acceptance of the idea of introducing an art brut studio. Twice a week, the room intended for group psychotherapy becomes an art studio where patients become creators. The Depth Drawing method, which is applied in the studio, leads to different, forgotten, sometimes unknown sources of creative energy, which provide an external form to internal visual content. All drawings are the products of many hours of psychological combinatorics of a man overwhelmed by various stresses, problems, and blockages.

It is significant that this is the first art brut studio—that is, the first art studio dedicated to working with people outside the art system—in the Balkans. It is also significant that our most important medical institution, VMA, had the ear and support for its establishment.
