Balkan/Srbija je nestabilno područje gde su rat, političke tenzijame i društvene eskalacije sveprisutne. Tokom raspada Jugoslavije devedesetih godina imali smo nezamislivo krvav rat u Hrvatskoj (1991-1995) i Bosni i Hercegovini (1992-1995), dok se nekoliko godina kasnije ovaj ciklus raspada nastavio ratom na Kosovu (1999) i bombardovanjem Srbije 1999. godine. Stres i trauma uzrokovani dugotrajnom situacijom i ratovima potaknuli su Gorana Stojčetovića da započne istražuje o umetničkom stvaralaštvu koje je direktno ili indirektno vezano za ratove u bivšoj Jugoslaviji. Mini celina sa fokusom na stvaralaštvo tokom bombardovanja Srbije je izložba Zajednički zaštitnik, gde naziv ironično aludira na isto ime koje je koristila NATO alijansa za samu operaciju. Izlažući radove šest umetnika, pružio se uvid u estetiku umetničkog stvaralaštva u vanrednim i ratnim okolnostima, kao i individualnim i kolektivnim traumama jednog društva.
Tokom istraživanja sreli su se mnogi pojedinci koji su počeli da pišu, crtaju i slikaju u periodu bombardovanja, jer im je to jedino omogućilo da se približe svojim unutrašnjim nemirima, strahovima i dezintegraciji u pokušaju razumevanja novih okolnosti i svojih uloga u njima. Vrlo mаlo se zna o ovim “nevidljivim umetnicimа”. Njihovi radovi predstаvljаju pravo umetničko ali i antropološko blago. Stoga Zajednički zaštitnik predstavlja i okvir za okupljanje, promociju i analizu njihovog stvaralaštva.
Pored izložbe, organizovane su i tribine, predavanja psihologa, psihijatara i teoretičara umetnosti na temu stvaralaštva i destrukcije.
Izlagači:
JOŠKIN ŠILJAN, umetnik iz Grdelice. Svakog dana je crtao i beležio svoje misli i osećanja. Poneke radove je vremenom nadograđivao želeći da animira tadašnje iskustvo i svake godine od 24. marta (početak operacije bombardovanja), izlaže te radove gde god može, praveći pomen žrtvama.
SRBOSLAV ILIĆ, umetnik iz Beogrаdа. Radio je sve vreme bombardovanjа u predsoblju svoje kuće na Karaburmi. Zbog svog načina rada, mnoge radove započete tokom bombardovanja završavao je u narednim godinama. Srboslav na slici radi po nekoliko meseci, pod lupom na manjim formatimа i često u radovima ima stotinak likova kroz koje opisuje svoja apokaliptična viđenja događaja prilikom i posle bombardovanja.
GORAN STOJČETOVIĆ, umetnik iz Uroševca, Kosovo i Metohija. Radio je male crteže u reklamnim blokčićima političkih partija, u podrumu stambene zgrade u kojoj je živeo. U dvorištu zgrade, organizovao je likovne rаdionice sa decom iz komšiluka. Crtanje je nastavio i za vreme izbeglištva po različitim smeštajima u kojima je boravio sa porodicom.
DANIJEL SAVOVIĆ, umetnik iz Beograda. Napustivši redovne studije grafike na Fakultetu likovnih umetnosti u Beogradu, decembra meseca 1998. godine, prijavljuje se na odsluženje vojnog roka. Period bombardovanja je proveo u Uroševcu, na Kosovu. U rovu, na brdu oko uroševačke kasarne, nacrtao je strip u kome sublimira sopstvenu i viđenu stvarnost.
NIKOLA ŠINDIK, književnik i likovni umetnik iz Beogrаdа. U skladu sa svojom poetikom recikliranja stvarnosti neizbežno se posvetio "nebu koje se na nas obrušava“. Sа porodicom (sinom i suprugom) kao i kolegama umetnicima, upriličio je niz performansa tokom samog bombardovanja (na Uskrs) kao i u potonjim godinаmа (ciklus projekata pod zajedničkim nazivom NO PASARAN).
NENAD BRAČIĆ, umetnik iz Beograda. Početak radova sa knjigama, kao umetničkim objektima, počinje još dok je atelje imao u napuštenoj čitaonici mesnog ogranka (nepostojeće) biblioteke Novi Beogrаd. Radove na njima počinje aprila 1999. u vreme NATO agresije na našu zemlju, sa jednostavnom idejom, jedna žrtva - jedna priča.
Izložba je realizovana tokom 2015 godine u Domu kulture Gračanica, Dom kulture Studentski Grad i u Niškom kulturnom centru.
U doktorskoj disertaciji Nine Mihaljinac pod nazivom Svedočenje i reprezentacija traume u vizuelnim umetnostima: NATO bombardovanje SR Jugoslavije, takođe je posvećena velika pažnja udruženju Art Brut Serbia i umetniku Goranu Stojčetoviću.

The Balkans/Serbia is an unstable area where war, political tensions and social escalations are ubiquitous. During the breakup of Yugoslavia in the nineties, we had an unimaginably bloody war in Croatia (1991-1995) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995), while a few years later this cycle continued with the war in Kosovo (1999) and the bombing of Serbia (1999). The stress and trauma caused by the long-term situation and the wars prompted Goran Stojčetović to start research on artistic creativity that is directly or indirectly related to the wars in the former Yugoslavia. A mini-project with a focus on creativity during the bombing of Serbia is the exhibition Join Guardian, where the name ironically alludes to the same name used by the NATO alliance for the operation itself. By exhibiting the works of six artists, an insight into the aesthetics of artistic creation in extraordinary and wartime circumstances, as well as individual and collective traumas of a society, was provided.
During the research, many individuals were met who began to write, draw and paint during the bombing period, because this was the only way they could get closer to their inner turmoil, fears and disintegration in an attempt to understand the new circumstances and their role in them. Very little is known about these "invisible artists". Their works represent a real artistic and anthropological treasure. Therefore, the Joint Guardian also represents a framework for gathering, promoting and analyzing their creativity.
In addition to the exhibition, panel discussions and lectures by psychologists, psychiatrists, and art theorists on the topic of creativity and destruction were also organized.
Exhibitors:
JOŠKIN ŠILJAN, artist from Grdelica. Every day he drew and recorded his thoughts and feelings. He built up some works overtime, wanting to animate the experience of that period, and every year on March 24, he exhibits these works wherever he can, commemorating the victims.
SRBOSLAV ILIĆ, artist from Belgrade. He was creating for the entire duration of the bombing in the hall of his home in Karaburma. Because of his slow way of working, many art works started during the bombing were completed in the following years. Srboslav works on a painting for several months, under a magnifying glass for smaller formats, and often there are about a hundred characters in his works through which he describes his apocalyptic visions of the events during and after the bombing.
GORAN STOJČETOVIĆ, artist from Uroševac, Kosovo and Metohija. He made small drawings in the advertising blocks of political parties, in the basement of the building where he lived. In the courtyard, he organized art workshops with children from the neighborhood. He continued drawing even during his exile in different accommodations where he stayed with his family.
DANIJEL SAVOVIĆ, artist from Belgrade. After leaving graphic studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, in December of 1998, he signed up for military service. He spent the bombing period in Uroševac (Kosovo). In the trench, on the hill around the Uroševac barracks, he drew a comic in which he sublimated his own reality and the one he saw.
NIKOLA ŠINDIK, writer and fine artist from Belgrade. In accordance with his poetics of recycling reality, he inevitably devoted himself to "the sky that falls on us." With his family (son and wife) as well as fellow artists, he staged a series of performances during the bombing itself (on Easter) as well as in later years (a series of projects under the joint name NO PASARAN).
NENAD BRAČIĆ, artist from Belgrade. The beginning of works with books, as art objects, began while he had a studio in the abandoned reading room of the local branch of the (non-existent) New Belgrade library. He started working on them in April 1999, at the time of the NATO aggression against our country, with a simple idea: one victim—one story.
The exhibition was realized during 2015 in the Cultural Center of Gračanica, the Studentski Grad Cultural Center, and in the Niš Cultural Center.
In Nina Mihaljinac's doctoral dissertation entitled Witnessing and Representation of Trauma in the Visual Arts: The NATO Bombing of FR Yugoslavia, great attention was also paid to the Art Brut Serbia Association and the artist Goran Stojčetović, pp. 115-117.
